How to Extend Power tool Battery Life?
- Do you feel better when you are in a controlled environment? Your power tool batteries do too. Remove the batteries from the power equipment. You should store the power tool in the climate controlled area also. They perform better at room temperature.
- Place the plastic protective cap on the power tool battery for safety reasons. If left uncapped you could receive a shock or they could cause a fire if the terminals contact a metal surface.
- Place the batteries in a environmentally controlled area (example a closet). Batteries will last in most situations twice as long as leaving them in a cool, hot, cold or damp garage or vehicle.
- Charge the batteries about once every 45 days, just to keep them fresh in case you need to use them and you know you will ( example Christmas lights, gifts etc.).
